V+ 고 싶다 This indicates the speaker’s wants. (I want to~)

• Only ‘I’ can directly take ‘-고 싶다’. For other subjects, you should use ‘-고 싶어 하다’.

• Can’t combine with an adjective.

For adjectives, you need to add the meaning of ‘becoming(that state)’ by using the helping verb ‘-아/어 지다(to become~)’. After that, you can add ‘-고 싶다’.
