(typically) Adj + 게 1. This indicates how or to what extent the state or action in the following clause takes place. (It makes an adjective into an adverb, it’s like ‘-ly’ in English)

저는 용감하게 괴물과 싸웠어요.

I bravely fought against the monster.

문제를 똑똑하게 해결해요.

Let's solve the problem wisely.

진지하게 생각하지 마세요.

Don't take it too seriously.

(typically) V+ 게 2. This indicates the purpose or intended result of the action in the following clause. (to, so that ~) When using -게, it indicates in what way or to what degree an action is done. When used with adjectives, it shows in what way(how) the action is performed (Meaning 1), and when used with verbs, it shows to what extent the action should be carried out, that is, the intended result (Meaning 2).

바람이 들어오게 창문을 열었어요.

I opened the window so that the breeze could come in.

복사하게 프린터 좀 고쳐주세요.

Please fix the printer so that I can make copies.

아이들도 먹을 수 있게 음식을 만들었어요.

I made the food so that even children can eat it.

Combined with various verbs, and expresses intention or plan. 책을 보려고 안경을 썼어요.	It is used to induce a result or a purpose. 책이 보이게 안경을 썼어요.
Subjects have to be unified. 바람이 들어오려고 제가 문을 열었어요. X	It’s fine to have a different subject. 바람이 들어오게 제가 문을 열었어요. O
Can’t combine with adjectives. 예쁘려고 화장했어요. X	Can combine with adjectives. 예쁘게 화장했어요. O (It works like Meaning 1, though)
