→ Since -으로 indicates directionality, it is incorrect when referring to a specific place to sit. |
In fact, -으로 carries many different meanings, similar to how the English word 'as' or ‘for’ conveys many different meanings. For now, remembering just this much is sufficient :) As you continue studying, try to develop a feel for how -으로 is used in different contexts.
