-지 못하다

V+ 지 못하다 This indicates inability or inability to reach a certain state. (can’t~) We learned the adverb '못' before. You can use either '못' or '-지 못하다' to make a “can’t~” sentence.

저는 자전거를 못 타요.

= 저는 자전거를 타지 못해요.

I can’t ride a bike.

저는 땅콩을 먹지 못해요.

I can’t eat peanuts.
